HBI PACT Curriculum
The Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT) curriculum employs a blended learning approach to meet all learning styles — visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and more. It is vetted by subject matter experts and based on the NAHB Green Building Standard™ and National Skills Standards.
PACT Core
Foundation for all trade pathways. Covers basic safety, construction math and measurement, tools and materials, and employability skills (Career Wiz).
PACT Green Building
Environmental literacy, green building concepts, energy efficiency, and sustainable construction practices aligned with NAHB Green Building Standard™.
Trade Pathways
Industry-recognized certifications in nine trade disciplines. Graduates receive DOL-recognized credentials and are prepared for apprenticeship programs.
Blended Learning Approach
PACT uses CTEtechWorks™ — a secure learning management system with 2,500+ blended learning resources, online gamification tools, student performance reporting, and live online training. For CTE programs and individuals seeking 3rd party verification, HBI partners with NOCTI for certification assessments.
Additional Certification Opportunities
Workforce Services participants can also earn certifications in adjacent fields, opening doors to careers in education, healthcare, food service, and more.
